Wood and metal industry to travel tourism

Our history dates back to early processing of local raw materials from the forest and iron ores. Sawmills, wheel and wagon production was developed here and is part of our historical start and our entreprenurship characteristics.

Furniture manufacturing and our metal industry has been the industrial basis from which we have grown into a modern industry.

But the range of variations amongst our active entreprenurs is vast: from devloping cellulose for the paper industry at Vaggeryd Cell to Swedeses design of quality funiture. We also have Landmann production of cole and  gas grills (i.e. Grillchef) to Vaggeyds chark, well known hot dogs, to smaller companies within tourism excursions: by river, dog sleigh to horse back riding or rafting down the river of Lagan.

Within the region, within comfortable commuting distance other well known companies as IKEA, Saab and Huskvarna sewing machines are well estabilished.
