In the saddle or as one of the crowd

Though a rather small community we have a successful network of horse entrepreneurs. From show jumping to a great day at the races at "Vaggerydstravet". We are community with a special place in our heart for horsemanship and horse management. With the help of a tight network of enthusiasts and help from the regions goverments we make opportunities happen within horse produce to our many riding clubs. Future plans of a new veterinary clinic and horse arena are exciting happenings in the planning.

Tourism - a new adventure begins

Tourism and sports is an area that has had a strong development in recent years. With several conference centeres, golf resorts and winter recreation centers e.g. downhill skiing, ice rinks and indoor swimming and sport centers. We will keep you occupied.

The municipality also acts as host for for both smaller and bigger events e.g. Elmia wood, the world´s largest forest trade fair 2005.

The nature in the municipality with its forests and numerous lake and water ways create possibilities for experiences and recreation of various kind. The forest and country side are ideal for berry picking in summer and mushroom hunting in autumn which brings many tourists to the region.
