Miliseum

The Swedish Military Heritage is a network of 25 state-owned or state supported museums, spread throughout the country. It was formed in 2008. One of the museums will be situated on the old exercise field on the heath in Skillingaryd.

The Miliseum will describe the regular army of the 18th and 19th centuries, with a focus on the units of the province of Småland. It will also have the overall responsibility for the Engineer corps and the fortification works. The National Association of Military Cultural History Societies will establish its national exercise center and depot in close cooperation with the Miliseum.
